Agartala is the capital city of Tripura. The city is situated by the bank of Haora River and is located 2 km (1.4 mi) from Bangladesh’s border. The state is home to 16 tribes and is known for its rich culture as well as the various tribal festivals such as Kharchi and Garia Puja.
