Pithoragarh is a small town located at an altitude of 1645m (5397ft) in the Soar Valley. Pithoragarh is a historical landmark also known as the Little Kashmir. It is home to many temples and is a gateway to pilgrimage sites such as Kailash and Manasarovar. Pithoragarh is off the tourist trail and one can enjoy the stroll in the main bazaar and picturesque hikes in the area.
