Yamunotri is a small village situated at an altitude of 3293 m (10804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas. Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham (the small circuit of four abodes/seats) pilgrimage. There are many natural thermal springs in and around the village.
