Pahalgam is a hill station situated on the banks of the Lidder River at an altitude of 2130 m (6988 ft). It is a popular resort and a much-loved place for shooting Bollywood movies. Pahalgam is known for Amarnath Yatra, the annual pilgrimage attracting thousands of people.
