Diu is a small island in the Arabian Sea, with a coastal length of 21 km (14 mi). A former Portuguese colony, Diu is known for its beaches, sea shore, colonial architecture, etc. The distance between Daman and Diu is about 635 km (394 mi). 
Major tourist sites in and around Diu: Shell Museum, Chakrathirth Beach, Diu Fort, Diu Museum, Fortress of Panikota or Fortim do Mar, Gangeshwar, Ghoghla Beach, Jallandhar Shrine and Beach, Nagoa Beach, St. Paul Church, St. Francis of Assissi, INS Khukri Memorial, etc.
