Formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Keoladeo National Park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Established in 1982 and settled in the area of 2,873 hectares (7099 acres), it is home to more than 300 species of birds. It is one of the richest bird areas in the world.
