Taptapani is a village in the Eastern Ghats. It is famous for its hot-water springs containing high amounts of sulphur and other minerals and is said to have curative powers. Taptapani lies deep in the forests and high on a hill, around 50 km (31 mi) from Berhampur. It is home to Kutia Kondh, the Dingaria Kondh, Bonda and the Mali tribes.
