Malda also known as English Bazar is a city situated at the confluence of the Mahananda and Kalindi rivers. The city is known for Himsagar mango and is often referred to as the Mango City. The surroundings of Malda Town are of immense historical and archaeological importance. The 16^th century Adina Mosque and Tombs of various Muslim saints are in close proximity to the town.
