Murshidabad is a city located on the southern bank of the Bhagirathi River. The city was the capital of the states of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha. It is famous for its palaces, mosques, tombs, old 18th century monuments, gardens, Murshidabad silk, gold and silver embroidery and for producing mangoes and litchis.
