Champaner is a historical city known for the Champaner-Pavagadh Archeological Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are eleven different types of buildings here: mosques, temples, granaries, tombs, wells, walls, terraces among others, representing the perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. The monuments are situated around Pavagadh hill. The Kalikamata Temple on top of the hill is considered to be an important shrine, attracting large numbers of pilgrims.
