Palitana is a hilltop Jain temple city and a holy pilgrimage destination. Palitana is one of the world‘s largest temple complexes, having around 900 temples, dating from the 11th to the 20th century. The temple complex is situated on the Shatrunjaya hills. There are 3490 steps leading to the temples. The most famous temples are: Adinath, Kumarpal, Vimalshah, Samprati Raja and the Chomukh which is the highest.
