Calangute Beach
Add to My Route

Calangute is the longest and most popular beach in North Goa. The 7 km (4.3 mi) long beach merges with Candolim beach. In 1960’s it was a hippies resort. Today it is a popular package holiday destination among European tourists and Indian families. The beach gets crowded during the peak season. Calangute has basic tourism infrastructure like internet cafes, post office, banks, foreign exchange offices, dinnaries and eateries, medical facilities, etc. A number of water sports activities are available on the beach. In close proximities there is a Baga Beach, a famous place for partying and dancing. The Southern Calangute and the Northern Beach of Baga are more quiet.
