Cavelossim is a beach is South Goa, situated on the shore of the Arabian Sea, around 47 km (29 mi) from state’s capital Panaji. The Sal River flows to the south of the village. Cavelossim is a part of 25 km (16 mi) sandy beach extending from Bogmalo to Cabo de Rama Fort in Cola. It is a white sandy beach dotted with black lava rocks at certain places. There are several beach shacks offering a variety of Goan dishes and seafood. Cavelossim is a queit place with luxury resorts, five star hotels and multicuisine restaurants. Accommodation is also available for budget and economy class travelers, situated further from the beach.

When to visit: best time to visit October to March. March to May is hot and humid. June to September is monsoon season.

HOW TO REACH

Nearest railway station: Madgaon Junction railway station in Margo is about 14 km (8.6 mi) away. Margao station is the terminus station for several Konkan Railway trains and almost all trains passing through Goa stop here. There are direct trains from most parts of India including Delhi, Mumbai, Cochin, Mangalore, Bangalore, Gujarat, Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
