Arambol Beach

Arambol is a traditional fisherman village in the North Goa. Arambol beach is the northernmost beach of Goa, situated 50 km (31 mi) from states’s capital Panaji. The beach is both rocky and sandy. Arambol is a hippies resort discovered in the 1960’s and a popular destination for long stayers and backpackers. Accommodation in Arambol is almost all of the budget variety with huts located on the beach. The village is home to a rich live music, dance, yoga, meditation, parties and festivals. Arambol is known for the annual Festival of Freaks attracting crowds of tourists (February). The beach and the village can get pretty crowded during the peak season.
