Hogenakkal is a waterfall on the river Kaveri which is often referred to as the Niagara of India. Carbonatite rocks present here is considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia. The waters at Hogenakkal are known for their curative powers and bathing and rides in boats are popular activities here. Hogenakkal is in close proximity to the town of Dharmapuri (46 km) and could be a one day-trip.
