Pulicat is a historic seashore town and India’s second largest brackish water lagoon. It consists of about 16 island villages and 30 adjoining the lake. Pulicat is situated on the barrier island of Sriharikota, which separates Pulicat Lake from the Bay of Bengal and is an ecologically rich area.
