Mudumalai National Park is a Wildlife Sanctuary and a Tiger Reserve. The park is situated at the junction of three states - Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, over the area of 321 sq.km (124 sq.mi). It is home to more than 250 bird species and several endangered animal species including Bengal tiger, gaur, Indian leopard, Indian elephant, etc. There is an Elephant Camp at Theppakkadu housing around 20 elephants.
