Tirupati is a cultural city and a pilgrimage site. Famous for the Venkateswara Swamy temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (Lord of the seven Hills),it is one of the richest and busiest temple in India. Sila Thoranam – a rare geographical arch and the only one in the whole Asia, aged 150 million years is present here. There are a number of temples, holy water falls, sacred rivers and historical sites to be visited and explored. Tirupati is known for festivals as all the annual festivals are performed on a grand scale.
