Trimbak is a small village and a site of the famous Trimbakeshwar Temple. It is one of the Jyotirlinga shrines or the 12 temples enshrining Shiva. It is built in the Indo Aryan style and houses the symbolic three faceted image of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. Trimbak is a popular pilgrimage place, located at the foothills of Brahmagiri and Gangadwar mountains near the origin of the sacred Godavari River.
