Dhosi Hill is an extinct volcano in the Aravali Mountains range, situated on the borders of the Indian states of Haryana and Rajasthan. Solidified lava is still visible on one side of the hill. There is a temple, pond, fort and caves on the top and forest around it. The hill is mentioned widely in Sanskrit Granths or Holy Books of Hindus. Dhosi Hill has been an important Ayurvedic centre since Vedic times (9-10000 years ago). It is an important site where Chyawanprash (widely used Ayurvedic tonic) was formulated for the first time. This formulation is still popular today and sells in huge quantity throughout India and abroad.
