Surajkund is in a close location to Delhi. It is a small village and a site of an ancient reservoir of the 10th century built in the shape of the rising sun. The reservoir is filled up during every monsoon season. Surajkund is also known for an annual traditional crafts festival - Surajkund Craft Mela, famous for designer’s items and crafts in wood, metal, bamboo, iron, glass, textiles, stone, and popular cuisines from different parts of the country. Surajkund is located near Delhi.
