Keoladeo National Park

Formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Keoladeo National Park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Established in 1982 and settled in the area of 2,873 hectares (7099 acres), it is home to more than 300 species of birds. It is one of the richest bird areas in the world.
Tourist sites in and around Keoladeo National Park: Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, Lohagarh Fort or the Iron Fort, Bharatpur Palace, Government Museum, Ganga Temple, Laxman Temple, etc.

Nearest railway station: Bharatpur railway station is about 5 km from the park/bird sanctuary. It connects Bharatpur with all the major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Agra.

Nearest airport: Kheria Airport (IATA: AGR) in Agra is about 56 km (35 mi) from Bharatpur.
