Pushkar is a holy town, a popular pilgrimage destination and one of the oldest existing cities in India. It is famous for the Brahma Temple - one of the few in the world. Other temples to visit: Savitri, Chamunda, Pachkund Shiva, Rangji, etc. Pushkar is also known for camel safari, Pushkar Lake - surrounded by 52 bathing ghats (a series of steps leading to the river) and a camel festival, held every November. Over 50,000 camels are brought to be traded and sold in Pushkar.
