Pawapuri, also known as Pava, is a holy site for Jains. It is believed that the founder of Jainism, Lord Mahavira, drew his last breathe at this place and was cremated here around 500 BCA. It is a major pilgrimage site for Jains. Pawapuri could be a day trip from Patna, Rajgir or Gaya.
