Sasaram is an ancient historical town famous for being the birthplace of Afghan king Sher Shah Suri who ruled in Delhi and much of Northern India. The town is known for the Tomb of Sher Shah. Hexagonal in shape and build of stone, it is the second highest tomb in India, situated in the middle of a tank.
