Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculptures. Khajuraho is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Temples are dated from the 10th to the 11th century. Out of 85 temples originally, 22 have survived till today. Temples are spread over an area of 6 sq. km (2.3 sq.mi). Khajuraho is also famous for the Khajuraho Dance Festival which is held every year in the first week of February.
