Pachmarchi is a hill station situated at an altitude of 1067m (3500 ft). Pachmarhi has a number of cave paintings in its forests, some of which have been dated to be 10,000 years old.

Major tourist sites in and around Pachmarchi: Handi Khoh viewpoint, Priyadarshini (Forsyth) Point, Jata Shankar, Dhoopgarh, Caves: Pandav Caves, The Cave Shelters, Harper‘s Cave, Mahadeo and several Churches: Catholic Church, Christ Church, etc. There also are a number of waterfalls: Jamuna Prapat (Bee Fall), Apsara Vihar (Fairy Pool), Rajat Prapat (Silver Fall), Irene Pool, Jalawataran (Duchess Falls), etc.
