Belagavi also known as Belgaum is a city located in the foothills of the Western Ghats, at the altitude of 762 m (2500 ft). Belgaum is known for a wide variety of historical sites, temples, churches, green mountains, forests and waterfalls. The customs and traditions of Belgaum are influenced by the Kannada culture.
